Jarrod W. Lockhart

Dr. Jarrod W. Lockhart (he/him/his) is a strategic higher education and workforce development leader with more than 24 years of experience advancing educational access and strengthening STEM and healthcare pathways. As Assistant Vice Provost for Education Outreach & Collaboration, Director of the Office of Science Education Opportunities (SEO), and Assistant Professor of Academic and Student Affairs at Oregon Health & Science University, he leads statewide K–16 initiatives that connect schools, communities, healthcare systems, and industry partners to transformative career exploration and workforce development opportunities.

Dr. Lockhart’s work focuses on designing scalable, equity-centered programs that expand access to STEM and health professions while supporting students, educators, and communities through immersive learning, mentorship, and workforce readiness experiences. He is widely recognized for building collaborative partnerships that bridge education, research, and community engagement to make science and healthcare more accessible and relevant to diverse populations.

Previously, Dr. Lockhart served in leadership roles at Morehouse School of Medicine, where he secured more than $8 million in funding and helped expand STEAM and health pathway initiatives serving tens of thousands of students across multiple states. He is also the Founder and CEO of J. Wesley Lockhart Consulting, where he advises educational institutions, nonprofits, and community organizations on strategy, program development, and organizational growth. His contributions to education and community impact have earned numerous recognitions, including a city-declared Dr. Jarrod Wesley Lockhart Day in Georgia. His work continues to shape innovative models for building inclusive STEM and healthcare workforce ecosystems nationwide.
