Give Tax-Efficiently
The Billi Odegaard Scholarship Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Two tax-smart ways to give:
Donor Advised Fund (DAF) — Grant directly from your DAF to the Fund. Your deduction was taken when you funded the DAF, so no new deduction here — but your full gift goes to the cause.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) — If you're 70½ or older, you can direct your RMD straight to the Fund. The amount is excluded from your federal taxable income and counts toward your annual RMD. State tax treatment varies — check with your advisor.
Both methods require our EIN.
