2025 Fundraiser
September 25, 2025
The 2025 Billi Odegaard Scholarship fundraiser at the Oregon Historical Society was truly a night to remember. Having Governor Tina Kotek, Senator Jeff Merkley, and Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici together in the same room was extraordinary. Each spoke highly of the scholarship’s impact, emphasizing its independent, community-driven funding with no reliance on government grants, and took time to connect personally with students and attendees.
Candace Pugh, a second-year scholarship recipient, delivered a heartfelt speech about how the program has shaped her education and future, while recognizing her fellow scholars. By the end of the evening, more than $80,000 was raised to continue supporting students in Billi’s legacy.
